Voting for persons with severe physical disabilities (postal voting at home)

There is a system for "absentee voting by mail" for people with severe physical disabilities and those who need nursing care 5 under the Nursing Care Insurance Law. <To receive a voting certificate for mail, etc.> We attach certificate of the physically disabled or identification of insured person to "voting certificate grant application such as mail" signed by elector for Election Administration Committee of ward to live. (We can download grant application from homepage of Yokohama-shi.) ※It may take some time to issue a voting certificate such as mail, so please proceed as soon as possible regardless of the election.
A person who can vote by mail
A person who has a certificate of the physically disabled or a certificate of insured person of The Long-term Care Insurance, falls under any of the following, and has been issued a voting certificate such as mail issued by the Election Commission in advance. (1) Both lower limbs, trunk, and mobility dysfunction…Grade 1 and 2
(2) Heart, kidney, respiratory organs, bladder, rectum, small intestine disorders…Grade 1 and Grade 3
(3) Immunity and liver damage…Class 1 to 3
(4) Nursing care status classification under the Nursing Care Insurance Law…Care required 5
※Those who have a certificate of the sick and sick and have certain severe physical disabilities can also vote by mail.
How to vote
(1) When an election is held, "bills such as ballot papers" will be sent to electors who have been issued a "voting certificate for mail" from the Election Commission.
(2) Fill out the invoice with required items (the elector has a signature field), enclose a voting certificate such as mail, and mail it to arrive at the Election Commission four days before the election date.
(3) A ballot will be sent from the Election Commission to your current location, such as your home.
(4) Fill out the ballot paper, put it in an inner envelope and seal it. In addition, put the inner envelope in the outer envelope and seal it, and sign the front side of the outer envelope.
(5) We will send you a double envelope containing the ballot by mail. (It is not necessary to return the voting certificate such as mail.)
Postal voting by proxy entry system
