Optimization of land and public facilities

Land

Maximize value through strategic use of assets

　We revised "Yokohama City Asset Utilization Basic Policy" to promote initiatives for strategic utilization of assets by all agencies, and formulate plans for optimizing land such as unutilized land by each asset jurisdiction bureau.

Public facilities

Sustainable maintenance and improvement of functions and services provided by public facilities (optimization of public facilities)

　Promote the appropriateness of public facilities by formulating the “Comprehensive Management Plan for Public Facilities in Yokohama City,” which defines the direction of renewal of conservation’s public facilities.

-Introduction of Yokohama City Initiatives

Land

　We lent the land of a municipal bicycle parking lot, which had room for effective use of land, to a development company, and implemented a project to redevelop the bicycle parking lot together with rental housing.
　In addition to the effective use of land, it is an initiative that leads to solving local issues and improving the quality of operation.

Public facilities

　
　We contract with a private advertising company and deal with everything from installation to daily maintenance with advertising revenue.
　This method is a project that has introduced the vitality of the private sector since 2004 for the purpose of not only suppressing the cost of installing and maintaining a bus stop shed for Transportation Bureau, but also improving the bus waiting environment.
