Environmental Initiatives

At Shin-Honmaki Pier, we will develop bio-friendly seawalls in consideration of the water environment of Yokohama Port and the inhabitation of diverse living organisms.
This seawall is equipped with a concrete box that will be the main body, the so-called caisson wall, with a slit to calm the waves, the upper part has a structure in which the sun shines, and natural stones are laid inside, where seaweed and Amao creatures inhabit Recreate the reef by changing depth. As a result, seaweeds flourish and serve as a place for fry growth and spawning.
