Business Purpose

In anticipation of the future of Yokohama Port as an international container strategic port, Shinmotomoku Wharf forms a state-of-the-art logistics base that integrates deep-water and high-standard container terminals and logistics facilities with advanced distribution processing functions in order to respond to the increasing size of container ships and the increase in cargo volume. Environmental Initiatives

At Shinhonmoku Wharf, we will develop a living-symbiotic revetment in consideration of the water environment at Yokohama Port and the habitat of various creatures.
This revetment has a concrete box, the so-called caisson wall, with a slit that calms the waves, the upper part has a structure in which the sun shines, and a natural stone is laid inside, and seaweed and Amao creatures inhabit. Recreate the natural reef by changing the depth. As a result, seaweeds thrive and become a place for fry growth and spawning.

Natural stones are installed inside the seawall to form reef-type seaweed beds.
