Cases have occurred in the city to pretend to be a statistical survey and seek out personal information (name, Address, age, my number, family structure, receipt of pension, financial institution used, asset information, etc.).
In citizens, please be careful enough, and if there is any suspicious visits, telephone calls, documents, etc. disguised as statistical surveys, please contact the City Statistics Information Division.

What is "Darkness Survey"?

This is a fraudulent act that pretends to be a public statistical survey or a statistical researcher, such as a census, visiting a household to trick the completed questionnaire, or asking about the family structure of the household by telephone.
Please note that this may not only hinder the conduct of statistical surveys, but can also lead to fraud and other crimes.

Points to avoid damage

１．We do not ask for statistical surveys by phone or e-mail

National or local government officials, statistical surveyors, etc. do not request statistical surveys over the phone or survey personal or household information.
Beware of suspicious calls, e-mails, and suspicious websites.
However, in the following cases, the staff of the country, prefecture, city or ward may call you.
- After submitting the questionnaire, there are any unclear points in the contents, so when confirming.

２．Statistical surveys do not ask for your bank account PIN or credit card number.

Statistical surveys conducted by countries, prefectures and municipalities do not require gold goods.
In addition, we will not ask for your bank account PIN or credit card number.

３．Investigators always carry an "investigator's card"

Investigators for various statistical surveys are part-time local government employees appointed by the prefectural governor.
Investigators are issued an "investigator's card" (with a photo) to prove their identity, and always carry them with them when conducting surveys.
If a person who does not carry an "investigator's card" visits, it may be impersonating an investigator.
