2020 Agriculture and Forestry Census

The Agriculture and Forestry Census (under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Key Statistics) is implemented with the aim of clarifying the current situation and trends of agriculture and forestry in Japan, and preparing basic and comprehensive statistical data necessary for promoting agriculture and forestry administration. I am. The survey was started as the World Agricultural Census in 1950, and since then, agriculture has been conducted every five years, and since 1960, forestry has been conducted every 10 years. From 2005, the Agricultural Census and the Forestry Census will be integrated and implemented every five years. The "2020 Agriculture and Forestry Census" is the 15th survey in agriculture and the 9th survey in forestry.
Overview of the 2020 Agriculture and Forestry Census
The 2020 Agriculture and Forestry Census was implemented as of February 1, 2020.
This survey is broadly divided into the “Agriculture and Forestry Management Survey” and the “Agricultural and Mountain Village Area Survey”. Of these, the survey in which municipalities are included in the survey system are the agricultural and forestry management body survey.
