Eradication of violence against women

Last Updated October 27, 2023

About movement to end violence against women

Purpose of exercise

Violence is by no means acceptable, regardless of the gender of the subject, the perpetrator, or the relationship of the victim. Violence against women, such as trafficking and sexual harassment, significantly violates the human rights of women and is an important issue to be overcome in forming a gender equality society.
The government has set a period of “Exercise to Eliminate Violence against Women” and will further strengthen efforts on issues of violence against women, such as raising public awareness.
