Basic direction of the new medium-term plan

Yokohama City will formulate a new medium-term plan in FY2022 (Reiwa 4).
This time, we have compiled the “Basic Direction of the New Medium-Term Plan,” which is the starting point for discussions toward formulation.

Basic direction of the new medium-term plan

In the basic direction, in order to draw the future of Yokohama from a medium- to long-term perspective, we have set up a "city image we aim for together" as the ideal form of Yokohama around 2040, and a "strategy" for about 10 years to realize it. It describes the "strategy" and the pillars of "policies" that we will focus on over four years based on our strategy.

In addition, we show concrete image of future that we aim at so that citizens can replace what we want around 2040 with oneself and can image various lifestyles, and can act on oneself toward it I am. The citizens want to be varies depending on the values and living environment of each person, so I hope that it will be a hint to act together in the image of around 2040 that you think.
