[Press Release] About mistransmission of tuberculosis contact person medical examination result

　When a patient with pulmonary tuberculosis occurs, Health and Welfare Center identifies contacts and conducts blood tests as needed.
　This time, despite the positive results of a blood test conducted on a contact person (A) in Tsuzuki Ward   in March 2020, it turned out that it was negative and notified the person. This was revealed in April 2021 when the person developed pulmonary tuberculosis and the ward received a notification of tuberculosis outbreak.
　We would like to express our deepest apologies to you and your family.
　To prevent this from happening in the future, we will thoroughly implement measures to prevent recurrence.
