Tsurumi Ward has the second largest foreign population in the city after Naka Ward, so in fiscal 2008 it made a declaration for multicultural coexistence (*). With the cooperation of Yokohama FC, a professional sports team in the city, foreign players who play an active role in the team will visit elementary school as “teacher” and share their experiences and impressions of living away from home countries while interacting directly with elementary school student.
