Under the Basic Law on Water Cycle, August 1 is designated as "Water Day" every year, and various educational activities are conducted by the national and local governments with the aim of deepening understanding and interest in precious water resources and sound water circulation. Have been implemented.
In Yokohama City, along with Water Day, the Water Works Bureau and the Sewerage River Bureau, which are engaged in projects related to the water cycle, jointly consider the preciousness of the water we can use and the importance of the water cycle. We distribute "water circulation enlightenment leaflet" to fourth graders in the city to help you have the opportunity, and publicize water circulation enlightenment videos on YouTube advertisements as in the previous fiscal year.
On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, we will exhibit a booth related to Water Day at the event “Hamako Channel Festival 2024” hosted by Water Works Bureau.
