The Sagami Kite, which is said to have a 400-year history in Izumi Ward, is a traditional culture that prays for the healthy growth of children and the rich harvest of five grains during the festival.
This year, colorful large kites will be flying in rice fields near Tenno Moriizumi Park. During the period before the kite flying party, kites produced at the ward office on the first floor of the ward office will also be exhibited.
