Local Symbiosis Hackathon

At the Local Symbiosis Hackathon, students from universities and vocational schools form a mixed team, and each team sets a theme from the major theme of "Local Symbiosis", share opinions and ideas, and utilizes various technologies. We are working on solving problems. By setting a period (until February 2025) and working together with students from other schools, we aim to create innovations that will help students develop their own careers and solve social issues.

On Thursday, October 3, a kick-off event, which marks the beginning of Hackathon, was held with Iwasaki Gakuen providing a venue.
On the day of the event, the students formed a mixed team for each theme, deepened their awareness of issues, shared ideas, and had a heated discussion on future directions.
In the future, we will bring back the content to each team and further accelerate our efforts to implement the final solution.
For students, this is the start! Let's do our best!

Review of Kickoff Events

Flow of the entire Hackathon

The first half began with a greeting from Yokohama City Hall Co-Creation Promotion Section Manager, and Tsukui Co., Ltd. gave a keynote speech from Mr. Kojima to learn about the significance of the involvement of various actors and the creation of innovation.

In the second half, each team gathered to introduce themselves and decide how to operate in the future. After that, we exchanged opinions from various angles, such as sharing and deepening awareness of issues, and brest, as discussions to determine future directions. In addition, Mr. Mogi also provided advice to the nursing care and elderly support team from Fuji Soft Co., Ltd. With limited time for the presentation, as the limit approached, the discussion appeared incandescent. On the day, I don't think there is a team that completely burned down and perfectly determined the direction. That should be the case. It's a kick-off today, so don't discuss it, "I want to talk more!" I think it's just right to finish it. I would like to look forward to the future development of students.

Discussions for each team

An interim presentation was held.

The number of new members has increased.

Since the kick-off on October 3, several students, mainly from the National College of Information Science, have been interested in Hackathon.
As a result, the number of new members has increased, and we are currently working with about 40 members in total.

Look back on the whole

On Thursday, December 19, an interim presentation of Hackathon was held at Space AB, Yokohama City Hall Citizens' Collaboration Promotion Center. The current status of each team's efforts, which had been researched since the kick-off in October, was announced. On the day of the event, we received comments and advice from various fields, including advisor teachers, Kojima of Tsukui Co., Ltd., and staff of the Yokohama City Digital Headquarters, and were able to lead to the results presentation in February. .
Of course, looking back on our activities so far, some teams said, "I'm ready!", And others said, "I couldn't do this much.…But I think there is also a team called "at the results presentation!" By all means, let's continue to work so that everyone can burn completely at the results presentation!

We will deliver a part of the presentation for each team.

Community Health Team

The community medicine team is working on the proper use of ambulances because they want to be able to support smooth judgment when users are wondering if they should call an ambulance. Specifically, we aim to further update the current emergency assessment protocol and create an emergency assessment service that utilizes LINE.
Despite the challenges of speech recognition and text recognition accuracy, we can expect further brush-up for the results presentation in February. It also incorporates perspectives unique to members of Yokohama Pharmaceutical University, such as pre-registration of medication information.

Nursing care and frail prevention team

Under the theme of preventing "frail", which is located between healthy and nursing care needs, the nursing care and frail prevention team aims to develop an app that encourages outings and exercise to interact with others and build muscle strength. In addition, we aim to develop an app that stimulates actions that lead to stress relief and dementia prevention.
The point must be "can continue within a reasonable range." To this end, we have a plan to walk around the Japanese Islands in a form like Sugoroku that incorporates entertainment elements that can be used by users every day. It also includes modern youth-like ideas, such as a login bonus so that you can use it every day.

Childcare team

The childcare team is working to ensure that music activities can be carried out smoothly and equally at any nursery school, against the backdrop of the problem that there is a gap between personnel and other circumstances and individual abilities in the use of music at childcare sites. . Music has a lot of influence in child-rearing, such as coordination, rhythm, and language skills, and the childcare team focuses on toys and develops them.
The shape and material of the toy are also determined specifically, and one of the most surprising things is that a prototype has already been made. In addition, issues such as durability and repertoire of sounding music are also clarified. In fact, an operation test is also included in the plan at the childcare site of the Yokohama Nursery and Welfare College.

Care and Elderly Care Support Team

The nursing care and elderly support team uses the information registration system to support the end of life on the theme of whether there is anything that can support elderly people living alone in the community (so-called "one person"). We are working on supporting. While there are several current mechanisms, there is a mechanism, but it is important that users want to use independently, so that the name of the service can be used by a wider range of people by devising the flow of utilization and the location of development.
Also, although it is called end-of-life, it is a bit high when thinking about ending in life suddenly, so it is interesting to see the form of thinking slowly from life design.
