Promotion of the Yokohama Living Lab

Yokohama Living Lab

The Yokohama Living Lab is led by local private entities (mainly local business companies), through dialogue and demonstration experiments, through business.
This is an activity to create solutions to regional and social issues. In Yokohama City, local production for local consumption, utilization of vacant houses and fallow land, learning of children with disabilities and people, and learning about them.
We are promoting initiatives on various themes such as comprehensive care for the elderly and support for children and child care.
 ※In the general living lab, companies, university research institutes, administrative administrations, etc. regarded the community as a laboratory and turned the community into a field.
  This refers to activities that create new products and services by conducting activities such as workshops and demonstration experiments.

What is a circular economy plus?

In order to achieve all 17 goals of the SDGs in a well-balanced manner within the local economy, private organizations that operate the Yokohama version of the Living Lab have gathered and gathered.
This is a vision created through repeated dialogues. While the general circular economy focuses on the recycling of resources and products.                                                                       The concept of this vision is that in addition to the general circular economy, we focus on the people involved in it.
Even if you are older or face illness or disability, everyone can work and live with peace of mind.
This concept shows economic activities aimed at achieving a sustainable future in which no one is left behind.

    "Circular Economy plus x EXPO" has been promoted by the city of Yokohama through public-private co-creation.

     Efforts to solve social issues with the power of business are focused on the future society of the post-SDGs from 2030 onwards.
