Overview

Yokohama City is actively utilizing data to accurately grasp the current situation and identify issues for policy planning, and is working on "open innovation" that utilizes data in cooperation with the private sector and creates new value.
On July 31, 2018, Yokohama City University, and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation agreed to strengthen the cooperation and cooperation of the three parties regarding the utilization of public-private data, and to work together toward the realization of a super-smart society, following the formulation of the Yokohama City University Public-Private Data Utilization Promotion Plan and the establishment of the Faculty of Data Science, Yokohama City University.
