Posting paid advertising materials on shopping street street lights
From April 2016, with the aim of allocating advertising fee revenue to the maintenance of shopping street street lights (management fee, etc.), paid advertising materials such as companies (hereinafter referred to as "advertising flag") can be posted.

Conditions for posting advertising flags
In order to post an advertising flag on the shopping street street light, it is necessary to meet the conditions of the "Yokohama City Guidelines pertaining to posting paid advertising flags on shopping street street lights".
Main conditions for posting advertising flags
- The street light maintained by the store association.
- A flag posting pole must be installed on the street light (no flags are not allowed).
- About size of advertising matter body, it shall be within 0.75 meters wide and 2.10 meters in height per line.
- When a flag is posted, a certain height can be secured from the road surface to the lower end of the flag. 4.5 meters or more for roads and 2.5 meters or more for sidewalks (* If separated from the roadway).
What the Store Association does
It is necessary to do the following to post an advertising flag.
- Advertiser recruitment to contract
- Various permission application procedures (Note 1)
- Submission of income and expenditure report after project completion (Note 2)

Note 1: At the time of outdoor advertising matter permission application and road occupation permission application, please attach "check sheet" and apply.

Note 2: After removal of advertising matter, please submit income and expenditure report to Economic Affairs Bureau Commercial Promotion Division immediately.

Note 3: The installation period of advertising materials is within three months, including installation and removal. In the case of installation for more than that, various application procedures and fees will be required again.

※Various permissions are required for the installation of advertising flags (outdoor advertising materials). In addition, about enforcement of setting, supplier who registered (or report of exception) of outdoor advertising matter to Yokohama-shi needs to perform.
