Development of landscape planning and cityscape consultation districts-Minato Mirai 21 Shinko district-

The Minato Mirai 21 New Port area aims to create a unique urban area with a sense of individuality as an "island" by taking advantage of its historical assets, including Akarengasoko.
We reconfirmed our efforts to create cityscapes in the Shinko district so far, and based on our spirit and achievements, formulated a landscape plan based on the Landscape Act and a cityscape consultation district based on the "Ordinance on Creation of Attractive Urban Landscapes in Yokohama City". And came into effect on January 1, 2010. (Announced on July 24, 2009)
When we perform acts such as construction in area, "report by scenery law" and "consultation application by the regulations" are necessary beforehand.

●Yokohama City Ordinance on the Creation of Attractive Urban Landscapes (Landscape Ordinance):
It is an ordinance established for the purpose of realizing a high-quality city that attracts people, in which the individuality of the region and the rich ideas of citizens, etc. are in harmony by creating attractive cityscapes. （→ Ordinance text (outside site)）
●Urban Landscape Council Area:
Based on the regulations about creation of attractive cityscape of Yokohama-shi, we established policy to create area and attractive cityscape, guideline (act guideline) of design about act. In district, company and Yokohama-shi perform creative discussion based on policy and act guideline that we established beforehand and aim at creation of high-quality cityscape.
●Landscape Act:
In order to form a good landscape in cities, Noyama fishing villages, etc., the basic philosophy, the responsibilities of the country, local governments, etc. can be determined, and the local government can independently determine landscape plans and landscape agreements. （→ To the homepage of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Landscape Act (outside site)）
●Landscape plan:
Based on the Landscape Act, we will determine policies for the formation of areas and good landscapes, standards (landscape formation standards) for building buildings, etc., according to the local landscape formation. When we perform construction of building in area, report to Yokohama-shi is necessary.
