② Consultation on the Internet
Road consultation Internet reception form (outside site) under the Building Standards Law
- The site of the building must be in contact with the road at least 2m. (Article 43, Paragraph 1 of the Act)
- The term "road" here refers to the road prescribed in Article 42 of the Act.
- In the case of a site in contact with the road in a dedicated passage (alleled part), or a site such as an apartment house or a large-scale building, please note that the approach conditions are added in the Yokohama City Building Standards Ordinance.
- If the site of the building does not contact the road, or if the site of the building is in contact with the road, but the width of that part is less than 2m, it cannot be built in principle. Under certain conditions, such a site can be built only if it is approved as there is no obstacle to traffic, safety, fire prevention and hygiene. This is certification and permission under the provisions of Article 43, Paragraph 2 of the Building Standards Law. What is the abolition of roads?
Roads based on the Building Standards Law shall, pursuant to Article 45 of the Act, if the site in contact with the road violates the road obligation under Article 43, Paragraph 1 of the Act due to changes or abolition of the road, or Paragraph 3 of the same Article If it violates the provisions of the ordinance based on the provisions of the above, it cannot be changed or abolished.
Procedure for Abolition
1.Request for prior examination of road abolition (change) (submission: Housing and Architecture Bureau Building Guidance Division City Hall 25th floor)
- Abolition or change in order to examine in advance whether the surrounding buildings do not violate the rules of contact in Article 43 of the Act due to the abolition or change of the road, and to respond to the conditions for change or abolition, Prior to the application, it is necessary to submit a “Request for Road Abolition (Change) Preliminary Examination”.
- In addition, if the road abolition (change) application (this application) is not made within six months from the date of receiving the examination (decision date), this pre-examination application will be invalidated and a new pre-examination application may be required.

※The contact point for prior consultation on the abolition and change of existing designated roads due to development activities and new construction of designated roads will be the Residential Land Examination Department.
2.Road abolition (change) application (this application)
- When we change road by Building Standard Act or are going to abolish, it is necessary to submit application to the mayor based on 4 (change of road or the abolition) of Yokohama-shi building standard regulations Article 56.

※In the case of abolition (change) of No. 1 No. 5 road (position designated road), a fee of 30,000 yen will be charged.
(However, there is no fee for applying for the abolition (change) of the evacuation passage.) In the case of abolition (change) of the No. 1 No. 2 road, No. 1 No. 3 road, and No. 2 road, no fee will be charged .
