About animal cremation furnace

Among the specified small-scale facilities stipulated in Article 83 of the Ordinance on conservation, etc. of Yokohama City Living Environment (hereinafter referred to as the "Ordinance"), the outline of notifications (guidance standards and notification procedures) pertaining to animal cremation furnaces is explained.

Facilities subject to notification, etc.

Animal cremation furnaces are subject to notification, etc., regardless of the size of the facility. In addition, mobile animal cremation furnaces are also subject to notification.
Even if it is a company outside Yokohama City, if you use a mobile animal cremation furnace in Yokohama City, you will be subject to notifications.

Guidance standards for animal cremation furnaces

Based on Article 84 of the Ordinance, guidance standards for animal cremation furnaces have been established, and it is necessary to comply with them. Animal cremation furnaces are subject to equipment standards and management standards in the "Guidelines for Prevention of Air Pollution by Smoke Exhaust from Small Incinerators".

About notification of animal cremation furnace

For details of the notification, be sure to consult with the department in charge in advance. For the notification, please fill out the prescribed form with required items and submit the attached documents explaining the details. Also, please unify the size of the registration form documents to A4 and fold large drawings to A4.
In addition, we may not be able to accept documents if there are incomplete documents, so please allow enough time for submission.

Precautions for creating notification of installation of mobile animal cremation furnaces
  • In the name column, enter the name that operates in the area of Yokohama City.
  • In the location column, enter the location of the office that manages the animal cremation furnace.
  • In the remarks column, enter the car registration number of the vehicle carrying the animal cremation furnace.
  • Please indicate the place where the animal cremation furnace is used in the remarks column. (When you use in the whole area of Yokohama city, please list the whole area of Yokohama city.)
Precautions for Creating Notifications
  • In the case of renewal of facilities, notification procedures for the abolition of old facilities and the establishment of new facilities are required.
  • In the case of relocation to another establishment, it is necessary to abolish the facility and submit a notification procedure for installation.
  • Make sure that all animal cremation furnaces installed at the establishment have been succeeded or some facilities have been succeeded. In the case of succession of some facilities, make them so that you can understand the model number or facility number of the facilities that have been succeeded, and attach the layout of the facilities as necessary.
  • Make sure that all animal cremation furnaces installed at the establishment have been abolished or some facilities have been abolished.
