5 What kind of alarm do you have?

Last Updated June 28, 2023

There are two types of residential fire alarms: "smoke alarms" and "heat alarms".

Smoke type (photoelectric type)

When smoke enters the alarm, sound or sound alerts you to the occurrence of a fire.
It is installed in the bedroom or staircase.

Thermal type

When the air around the alarm reaches a certain temperature, sound or sound alerts you to the occurrence of a fire.
Installed in kitchens, etc., where smoke and steam may stay.

"Single type" And "linked type"

Residential fire alarms are single type that emits an alarm sound only in the room where the alarm is installed, and an interlocked type that sounds the alarm sound of all installed alarms.
 There are two types.

When a linked alarm detects a fire, the fire alarm for the house first sounds an alarm.
After that, the information is transmitted wirelessly to the linked alarm and the simultaneous sound is performed.
There are two types of alarm-linked types: wireless type or type that requires wiring work.
※Residential fire alarm with contact can be connected with a cable and sound simultaneously.
