5 What kind of alarm do you have?

Last Updated June 28, 2023

There are two types of fire alarms for homes: smoke alarms and thermal alarms.

Smoke type (photoelectric type)

When smoke enters the alarm, sound or sound will notify you of the fire.
Installed in bedrooms and staircases.

Thermal type

When the air around the alarm reaches a certain temperature, sound or sound will notify you of the fire.
Installed in kitchens where smoke and steam may stay.

"Single Type" And "linked"

Residential fire alarms include a single type that sounds the alarm sound of an alarm only in the room where it is installed, and an interlocking type that sounds the alarm sound of all the installed alarms.
 There are two types.

When an interlocked alarm detects a fire, the residential fire alarm first sounds an alarm.
After that, the information is transmitted wirelessly to the linked alarm to make it sound all at once.
There are two types of alarm-linked types that require wireless type or wiring work.
※It is also possible to connect a residential fire alarm with contact with a cable to make it sound all at once.
