What are people requiring assistance in the event of a disaster?
In the event of a disaster, those who need some help, such as the elderly, the disabled, infants, the sick, and foreigners, who need some help (persons requiring assistance during a disaster). In order to protect those who need assistance during a disaster from earthquakes, fires and tsunami, it is important to cooperate in the community on a daily basis and consider countermeasures.
What can be done on a daily basis
- In order to facilitate support in the event of a disaster, we will create a face-to-face relationship through communication such as watching activities and greetings in the community.
(As an opportunity to create a relationship, we can provide information on people requiring assistance that the government has grasped to the community through certain procedures.)
- Think about measures to prepare for disasters in the community, such as conducting evacuation drill with the participation of people in need of assistance.
- Check the local environment for obstacles or steps in the evacuation route.
When a disaster occurs
- Make sure that no one has been delayed in rescue or evacuation, and provide support in the neighborhood, such as guiding evacuation with multiple residents to the evacuation center.
- In the event of an emergency, it is also necessary to take a break.
