Tsunami warning transmission system

Based on the lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011, Yokohama City has installed a tsunami warning transmission system in the tsunami inundation prediction area to allow citizens to take evacuation actions as soon as possible in the event of a tsunami earthquake.

Mechanism

In response to large tsunami warnings, tsunami warnings, and tsunami warnings announced by the Japan Meteorological Agency, emergency information such as tsunami warnings and evacuation warning will be automatically broadcast from the installed outdoor speakers.
The power supply is powered by independent solar power generation and storage batteries.

Broadcast audio

When a large tsunami warning, tsunami warning, or tsunami warning are announced in the inner bay of Tokyo Bay, this system broadcasts will be broadcast. The large tsunami warning will be broadcast (two types) according to the expected height of tsunami.
