Tsunami Warning Transmission System
Last Updated October 1, 2021
Based on the lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011, we have installed a tsunami warning transmission system in the tsunami area that calls for evacuation using outdoor speakers so that citizens can take evacuation actions as soon as possible in the event that a major earthquake is expected to occur in the tsunami area.

Mechanism
In response to large tsunami warnings, tsunami warnings, and tsunami warnings issued by the Japan Meteorological Agency, emergency information such as tsunami warnings and evacuation warning will be automatically broadcast from installed outdoor speakers.
The power supply is powered by independent solar power generation and storage batteries.

When a large tsunami warning, tsunami warning, or tsunami warning is announced in the inner bay of Tokyo Bay, this system will broadcast. The large tsunami warning will be broadcast according to the expected height of tsunami.
