1.In preparation for heavy snow

(1) Safe way to spend time at home
A: If heavy snow is expected, avoid unnecessary and urgent outings.
B: Prepare a flashlight, portable radio, food, drinking water, etc. at home as a precautionary measure.
C: To prevent carbon monoxide poisoning, be careful not to block the area near the air supply and exhaust port of the FF heater with snow.
D: Actively call out to those who need consideration, such as the elderly in your neighborhood.

(2) Operation of vehicles, etc.
Avoid driving as much as possible if heavy snow is expected.
Also, if you are forced to drive a vehicle, you will need to do so.
A: Let's check weather information, road information, etc. in advance.
B: Let's carry out the inspection and maintenance of the vehicle.
C: Prepare winter clothes, boots, gloves, Cairo, scoops, towing ropes, drinking water, emergency provisions, etc.
D: Carry out reasonable driving according to the road conditions, wear studless tires and tire chains early.
O: If you are stuck and have to leave the car, do not lock the door and leave the key in an easy-to-understand place inside the car.

(3) Utilization of disaster prevention weather information, etc.
If heavy snow is expected, use weather information to take action as soon as possible so that each and every one of you can take safe actions.

2.Points to keep in mind when removing snow

(1) Accident prevention during snow removal
Take safety measures during snow removal, such as calling out to your family and neighbors during work, conducting preparatory exercises, and working with multiple people.

(2) Accident prevention of elderly people
More than 70% of the victims caused by snow last winter nationwide killed elderly people aged 65 and over. Let's help each other to remove snow.

(3) Snow removal activities by local communities community support
Neighborhood Association, etc. plays a central role, and it is also effective for local residents to decide the date and time to remove snow on residential roads at the same time for safe and smooth snow treatment.
Depending on the circumstances of the region, encourage the efforts of these local communities by community support, and watch over and call out to each other during snow removal work.
