Kamishirane Hayashi Preservation Society

Last Updated December 20, 2019

1.Group introduction

It is said that the Kamishirane Hayashi was triggered by the young people of the village starting to practice music in the late Meiji era.
After that, it was interrupted by the war, but around 1949, the former chairman, Rokuichi Takatsuka, was appointed so as not to stop the music.
Volunteers from the village gathered at the top and started as the Kamishirane Hayashiren. In 1987, we recruited people through the Children's Association, and at that time.
The remaining children are now young people and are excited about the preservation society.
In 1995, it was certified as an intangible cultural property protection organization in Yokohama City, and its name was newly added to the Kamishirane Hayashi Preservation Society.
We continue to work with 32 people.

2.Through activities-a word from members-

◆The charm of Kamishirane Hayashi
It is attractive that everyone can smile through the music. Elementary school students so that many people can enjoy the music.
We are engaged in a wide range of activities, from school hands-on learning to comfort facilities for the elderly. When the children met in town, they said, "Come again.
It's called out, and the elderly say, "Seeing the lion dance will remind you of the past and make you feel better."
I'm glad that.

◆New Year's lion dance, annual festival dedication
Every year from January 5 to 6, we perform a New Year's lion dance in Kamishirane-cho and visit about 100 homes.
It's an annual event. Although activities during the cold winter months are severe, the smiles of local people and members are encouraging. .
Also, in September, Kamishirane Inari and Asahi Jinmori Yahata Shrine are dedicated to the annual festival every year.
(In 2014, it was held at Asahi Jinmori Yahata Shrine.)

◆Exchange and Future of Preservation Society
As I continue my activities, the connections between the members who are with me deepen and feel like a family. In addition, at the time of establishment
Terayama Hayashi Preservation Society in Midori Ward, who had been learning under the same teacher, continued to interact with each other.
We are holding a joint event.
In the future, children will continue to play Kamishirane music, and the place of exchange and activities with local people will expand.
I'd like it.
