Hangaya Hayashi Preservation Society

Last Updated March 4, 2019

1.Group introduction

It is said that Hangaya Hayashi was thriving from the late Edo period to the Meiji era. After that, during the war.
It was interrupted, but it was revived around 1950 with the support of Akuwa Hayashi in the neighboring village. Since then
While continuing the lion dance in Tanicho and expedition activities in various fields, a new apprentice centered on elementary school students in the 1950s.
In 1993, it was awarded a certificate as an intangible cultural property protection organization in Yokohama City.
For a long history, the environment surrounding Hangaya has changed, and the place name has changed to Sachigaoka, but now it is in his teens.
It is composed of 16 members of a wide range of generations up to their 80s, and it is important to interact with nearby Akuwa, Honmura and Futatsu Bridge.
We continue our activities while doing so.

2.Through activities-a word from members-

◆The charm of Hangaya Hayashi
Hangaya Hayashi incorporates the skills that we think are good in our old traditions, and freedom and creativity.
It is characterized by high quality. The motto is to play happily, and the festival will be even more exciting, so we will join you
I hope you enjoy it.

◆Measures to expand the range of activities
The main activities include the Hiyoshi Shrine Festival in September and the New Year's Lion Dance in January.
We continue to work in various fields, such as elementary school experience classes, support for Akuwa, Honmura and Futatsu Bridge, and participation in various events. .
Simple to organize members according to the event and situation, or to play in one hour for elementary school experience classes.
We are preparing performances and devising ways to expand the range of activities.

◆To foster successors
The children enjoy practicing for an hour each week. You can practice by changing musical instruments, practice dancing, etc.
I am working hard to keep practicing without getting tired. We are active with members of all ages.
Therefore, I think that it is a good place to interact with other generations. Parents and children and siblings can work together.
I think it's good, so please let me know.
