Yokohama's first exposition "GREEN x EXPO 2027" will be held in 2027. Aoba Ward is making various efforts to increase momentum toward the success of the event.

"GREEN x EXPO 2027" event 3 years ago
A commemorative event will be held on the first floor of the Aoba Ward government office on March 19, three years before the GREEN x EXPO 2027.

"GREEN x EXPO 2027" Special Photo Spot
A special photo spot for "GREEN x EXPO 2027" will be set up on the first floor of the ward office with flowers and greenery as motifs. Let's take a commemorative photo together with the permanent Nanashi-chan photo spot at the ward office!
Introducing Aoba Ward's attractive spots, "Aoba Flower, Greenery and Agricultural Tour Map"
In March 2024, we published a booklet introducing attractive spots, such as a direct sales place for flowers and greenery, vegetables and fruits in Aoba Ward, and a local production and local consumption support shop.
There are plenty of related columns, such as share cycle station information and introduction of "GREEN x EXPO 2027"! This book contains the charm of flowers, greenery, and agriculture. We will distribute it on the day, so why not visit Aoba Ward by all means?

Clean energy from Aoba Ward! Display of perovskite solar cells
Perovskite solar cells
Renewable energy that utilizes the power of nature. One of them is "perovskite solar cells" invented by Professor Riki Miyasaka of Toin University of Yokohama in Aoba Ward.
Compared to conventional silicon solar cells, it is thinner, lighter, and bendable, and it is expected to be a technology that will greatly contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society. On the day, we will run a railway model using perovskite solar cells!
Seasonal cut flowers & "GREEN x EXPO 2027" novelty will be presented (limited quantity)
Those who answered the "Questionnaire on Familiar Greens" will receive seasonal cut flowers and "GREEN x EXPO 2027" novelty (limited quantity).

In February 2024, the post office in Aoba Ward and Aoba Ward entered into a comprehensive partnership agreement with the aim of improving inhabitant services and solving local issues. Based on this agreement, postal vehicles and motorcycles currently running in the ward are also marked with publicity stickers for "GREEN x EXPO 2027" and "Aoba Ward 30th Anniversary".
This time, as part of the efforts of this agreement, we have reused waste wood from wooden containers at the post office and produced a flower bed sign that promotes "GREEN x EXPO 2027". Waste materials are also reused as planters at Aobadai Elementary School.
Regarding this initiative, from 13:30 on March 19 (Tuesday), an installation ceremony will be held at the Aobadai Post Office Director, Ichigao Station Post Office Director, Ichigao Station Post Office Director, Yokohama Kamoshida Post Office Director and Mayor Aoba.
After that, they will be displayed on flower beds at all 23 post offices in Aoba Ward. Please take a look when you drop in at the post office.
"Nakachan GREEN x EXPO 2027 Version" will be produced!
Aoba Ward mascot character "Naka-chan" is loved by everyone in Aoba Ward.
With the launch of "GREEN x EXPO 2027", we decided to produce "Nakachan GREEN x EXPO 2027 Version" to promote the lush greenery of Aoba Ward. We will ask Yokohama University of Fine Arts, which has concluded a partnership agreement with Aoba Ward.
The completed version will be unveiled at the event 1000 days before the "GREEN x EXPO 2027" held in June this year. Please look forward to it!
