Aoba Kumin Art Festival

　The Aoba inhabitant of a ward art festival has been held since 1995 after the division as a inhabitant of a ward participation type project, with the aim of promoting local exchange through culture. It is held by the "Aoba Ward Residents Art Festival Steering Committee" composed of cultural groups in the city. The Aoba Kumin Art Festival has a stage section that announces chorus, instrumental music, and traditional performing arts, and an exhibition section that announces the works of everyone who performs artistic activities in the city.

　We are recruiting groups to plan, operate and perform the Aoba Residents' Arts Festival every year. Please refer to the following page.

　A festival of amateur choirs resonates with Aoba Ward. We will deliver wonderful harmony of groups working in the city.

　Instrumental music groups of various genres active in the city play pleasant harmony.

　Groups such as Shigin, dance, dance, folk songs, and local performing arts, who are active in the city will gather and show off their skills. It is a festival of old sound, gorgeous dance, and colorful performing arts.

　　We display work of everybody working in ward. Please enjoy the many unique works to your heart's content.

The Tea Ceremony Subcommittee is attended by organizations engaged in a wide range of tea-related activities such as matcha, sencha, Chinese tea, and fermented tea. In order for local people to get acquainted with tea, we perform presentations and panel displays at the Aoba Residents' Festival and the Aoba Residents' Exhibition.
