(4) What should be taken to prevent the spread of infection

What is norovirus?

It is a virus that causes vomiting and diarrhea, and has the ability to transmit even a very small amount of human to transmit. Alcohol disinfection does not kill, and only sodium hypochlorite is effective, so correct infection control is required.

Correct treatment of vomit

If norovirus is properly treated and disinfected, it will continue to live for a long time while drifting in the air and infects many people. Let's disinfect quickly and correctly.

❶Sodium hypochlorite concentration 0.1%
❷Disinfection in 2m square range for 10 minutes
❸Wheelchair tires and shoe soles of processing staff
❹Sufficient hand washing after treatment

Correct disinfection of toilets

The stool of people infected with norovirus contains a large amount of virus. Prevent infecting others through the hands that touched the toilet or doorknob.

❶Sodium hypochlorite concentration 0.1%
❷From clean place to dirty places
(Door knob → handrail → toilet bowl lid → toilet seat → outside toilet bowl → floor → inside toilet bowl)
❸Sufficient hand washing after cleaning

Correct infection control measures for caregivers when taking care of symptomatic persons

It is important to take care of the caregiver to prevent the virus from receiving the virus and to take care of it so that the caregiver does not carry the virus to another user.

❶Wearing disposable gloves, disposable gowns, and disposable masks
❷Contaminated items and protection (PPE) worn during care are separated from other garbage and sealed in a plastic bag and discarded.

1 Care 1 Hand wash (wash thoroughly for 30 seconds)

Even if you wear gloves, you will always have a virus on your hands. Rinse the virus with soap and move on to the next work so as not to spread inside the facility.

Discontinuation of meal assistance or serving meals for staff with vomiting and diarrhea
