Food education information exchange meeting

What is the Food Education Information Exchange Meeting?

Staff involved in food education in the city (childcare facilities, kindergartens, public elementary schools, public junior high schools, Health and Welfare Center, healthmates) cooperate to exchange information and engage in various initiatives with the aim of "connected food education". We aim to promote lifelong health so that not only children but also the whole family can spend well.

Theme of food education in Tsuzuki Ward  

"We aim for children in Tsuzuki Ward   to have a healthy diet (food and life) in 20 years."
(To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the ward administration, decided in 2014)

About the first food education information exchange meeting in 2023

We held the first food education information exchange meeting this year. Thirty facilities in the ward participated, and shared issues related to food education at each facility and considered ideas for solving problems in group work.

○They struggle with ingredients that are not eaten at home (especially fish, fruits, vegetables, etc.)
○There is less resistance to leaving children's food.
○I don't talk about what I'm not good at.
・Guidance on how to eat. Show the ingredients. Start with a bite.
・Even if a lot of leftovers are used to eating, it will be incorporated into school lunch. → By the time of graduation, most children will be able to eat.
・The delicious menu is made delicious school lunch using hard-to-use ingredients to tell parents about "make" after returning home.
・We distributed recipes that were popular with children to parents.
・You will be motivated to eat by raising your own, touching and experiencing, or devising your appearance by cutting the mold.
・Take it to your mouth like a character you like. If you eat it, you will be praised and motivated.
・Get advice from a longing person, such as athletes and princess, to eat in a well-balanced manner.
○They tend to prefer soft things, and their chewing and swallowing power are weaker.・The nursery teacher shows an example of chewing with gestures.
・Practice chewing by providing school lunch of form and hardness appropriate to age and age.
○Food bias (such as leaving staple food) due to changes in consciousness in body shape after the upper grades of elementary school・After elementary school students have the opportunity to learn about what they are eating for.
・Utilize health newsletters and dietary education newsletters to share information with homes.
