About parking and stopping measures around Totsuka Station East Exit
Based on the results of the Traffic Society Experiment conducted in November 2022, we implemented measures to prevent parking and stopping at intersections and pedestrian crossings where parking and stopping under the Road Traffic Law.

Installed protective fences (installed in October 2023)
Background and Purpose of Implementation
Very dangerous situations have occurred, such as the following vehicles protruding into the oncoming lane to overtake vehicles that stop at the intersection in front of East Exit Station and near pedestrian crossings. In order to improve this situation, protective fences will be installed on the shoulders of places where parking and stopping is originally prohibited, and the parking prohibition zone will be clarified to improve traffic flow and safety of vehicles and pedestrians Improve.
Requests to those who regularly use Totsuka Station
・The roads around Totsuka Station are very crowded on a daily basis. When you come to Totsuka Station, please use public transportation.
・When waiting for pick-up, please refrain from parking on the street that may cause traffic congestion, and use the surrounding parking lot.
・Totsuka Station East Exit has a boarding platform for general cars, so please use it for transportation.
About traffic social experiment conducted in fiscal 2022 around Totsuka Station East Exit
The roads around Totsuka Station East Exit are very crowded, such as morning and evening rushes and rainy days due to the stop of pick-up cars. In particular, very dangerous situations have occurred, such as the subsequent vehicles protruding into the oncoming lane to overtake vehicles that stop at the intersection in front of the station.
Therefore, in order to use the area around the station safely, a social experiment was conducted to facilitate traffic flow.
