Frequently Asked Questions (Medical Examinations)
Due to the reform of the healthcare system, the basic Health Checkups, which had been implemented by Yokohama City at ward offices, etc., was completed in March 2008.
From April 2008, medical insurers are required to provide specific Health Checkups and Specific Health Guidance for Prevention of lifestyle-related diseases for insured persons and dependents between the ages of 40 and 74.

※If you are a member of Yokohama National Health Insurance from 40 to 74 years old, please see here.
※Yokohama-shi carries out about medical care system insured person living in the city, social security recipient 40 years or older who does not take out medical insurance. → For more information, please see the Health Checkups website.
In addition, we do not conduct medical examinations for the purpose of issuing a medical certificate to be submitted at the time of employment, going to school, acquiring qualifications, etc.
If you need a medical certificate, please get a physical checkup at a medical institution.
