Introduction of Seya Ward

Saiya is "Satani", and it is said that the origin of the place name is "the land with Kotani of narrow Kawase".
※There is also a theory called "Seno." (From Japanese place name etymology dictionary)

"Seyamaru" and my sister "This is." We designed Konohazuku, which resembled the shape of Seya Ward, and decided by recruiting nicknames from residents. For more information, please visit the Seya Ward mascot character.

Please note that it is not available in the following cases.

1. When it violates laws and regulations or public order and morals, or when there is a risk.
2. When it relates to or is at risk of political or religious activities
3. When giving a misunderstanding that supports or authorizes a specific individual, company, organization, etc., or when there is a risk.
4. When the symbol mark gives a misunderstanding or is likely to be a mark belonging to a specific individual, company, organization, etc.
5. When the credit or dignity of Yokohama City and Seya Ward is impaired, or when there is a risk.
6. When the image of the symbol mark is impaired or when there is a risk.
7. When modifying the design of the symbol mark and using it
8. When a person other than Yokohama uses the symbol mark on a business card
9. When Director General of Seya Ward deems it inappropriate

It was established to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the constituency system. What is appropriate for the Seya Ward?
We had popular vote from inhabitants of a ward widely to choose (valid vote 1912 votes).

The flower "hydrangea" in the ward was chosen because it was easy for everyone to get close to and spread widely.

Trees of the ward “zelkova” remain in various parts of the ward. It is also a tree suitable as a symbolic tree.

The ward bird "Onaga" is a friendly bird that can be seen throughout the year.
