Kamakura Kodo South Course

On the southern route of Seya Station on the Kamakura Kodo and Joto, there are historical sites such as Seya Hachifukujin, shrines and temples, Koshin Pagoda, stone Buddha, as well as archeological sites from the Jomon and Yayoi periods. It is a course that includes Kawazu cherry blossoms in early spring, as well as the Aizawa River Walk, where you can see the seasonal greenery and water.

Hozoji Temple

 This temple was built in 1066 in the Heian period (1066), beginning with Fudoan of Hideehigaoka Nun.
 In 1649 of the Edo period (1649), Tokugawa 3rd Shogun, Iemitsu gave a red seal. It is said that when the red seal was rewritten in place of the general, it was put in a palanquin with Aoi crests, and traveled to Edo along Nakahara departure (road).

Samasha

 The god of the festival is Yoshitomo Minamotono. The construction is unknown.
 One of the mackerel shrines in the Sakaigawa and Izumi River basins.In the past, in villages in the river basin, when a plague spreads, there was a custom to visit seven mackerel shrines called `` Nanasabari '' and avoid evil . The temple bell in the precincts still retains the appearance of Shinto and Buddhist practice.

Mune Kawadera

 In 1625 of the Edo period (1625), when Niken Jojin, who was on the way to Edo, passed through Nakahara Gokai (road), he felt the earnest religion of Munekawa Ishikawa, a resident of this area, and opened himself. It is a temple that has become.
 The two ginkgo trees on the side of the mountain gate are couples' ginkgo designated by Furuki, Yokohama City, and have long been a religion of safe childbirth and childcare since ancient times.

 It is said that the main temple, Seshi Bodhisattva, was excavated by the announcement of a dream, and the main hall built during the Kanei era (1624-1644) of the Edo period, also enshrines Kotobukijin.
 In the precincts, there was a Shimoseya branch school from 1890 (1890) to 1943 (1943).

Aizawa River Walk

 It is a promenade where you can touch the greenery and water of the Aizawa River basin and enjoy Kawazu cherry blossoms in early spring.
 Adjacent to Minamidai Children's Forest Park, you can enjoy the overgrown trees and the sound of water at the same time.

Monument of Nagi Tree

It is said that in the first year of Koka (1844), when there was a large fire at Edo Castle, the Nagi tree was cut down and used for reconstruction.
