Last update date May 19, 2023
Dementia is a brain "disease" of the brain that interferes with life due to various causes. It is said that the incidence increases from the age of 65, and one in four people over 85 years old. There is also juvenile dementia that occurs in young people under the age of 65.
Seya Ward is implementing a variety of initiatives to help people live in the community with peace of mind even if they have dementia.
`Let's go to 'family doctor'.'
In Seya Ward, regular family doctors work with hospitals and clinics specializing in dementia to prescribe medical examinations and medicines.
When consulting with your GP about dementia, you can tell your GP accurately if you write down your concerns and symptoms in "Let's go to a" family doctor "with this".
