Election Commission
Elections form the foundation of democracy and can be said to be the most important place of political participation to reflect our will and opinions in politics. At the time of election, it is the Election Commission to ensure fair and proper execution from a politically neutral standpoint. (Article 181, Article 252-20 of the Local Government Act)

Major duties
•Execution of each election of members of the House of Representatives, members of the House of Councilors, prefectural governors, mayors, prefectural council members, and city council members
•Execution of the National Examination of Judges of the Supreme Court
•Preparation and storage of electoral lists
•Office work related to election enlightenment
•Office work related to direct billing
•Office work related to the selection of prospective judge candidates
•Office work related to the selection of prospective prosecutor judge candidates

The Election Commission is organized with four members elected in Congress.

Changes in the number of electoral list registrants
The Sakae Ward Election Commission registers in the electoral list based on Article 22 of the Public Office Election Law.
There are two types of registration: election registration, which is performed at each election, and regular registration, which is held in March, June, September, and December every year.
In each case, the Election Commission registers based on the records of the Basic Resident Register.
