Shimin-no-Mori

A system that preserves Yokohama's unique green space based on the ordinance that creates and nurtures a green environment and the Yokohama City Shimin-no-Mori installation project implementation guidelines.
For land of approximately 2ha or more covered with forests, a land use contract for more than 10 years is made between the landowner and the city, maintain walking paths, etc., and open it as a place for citizens to relax .
Currently, the following four locations, approximately 63.6ha are designated in Sakae Ward.
Iijima Shimin-no-Mori (5.7ha), Kamigo Shimin-no-Mori (4.4ha), Shimin-no-Mori (47.3ha), Ara Izawa Shimin-no-Mori (6.2ha)
