It has been held since 1991 (1993), and this year marks the 30th anniversary. Junior high school students who will be responsible for the future of Sakae Ward will play a leading role, and this year's theme will be "smile."

What is the SAKAE Young Festival?

The SAKAE Young Festival is a project that has been held since March 1991, co-hosted by the Sakae Ward Youth Instructors Council and the Sakae Ward Office to promote the healthy development of young people in the city and deepen local exchange.
Organized by the SAKAE Young Festival Executive Committee (Supervisor: Sakae Ward Youth Instructor Council), junior high school students in the ward and local adults will collaborate from planning to day management, mainly on stage and mock shops.

At the Hongodai Station Square, which is the venue, many people, including station users, are watching.

  • March 1991: The first Young Festival was held at the Sakae Ward Office. The catchphrase at that time was "All all elementary and junior high school students in Sakae Ward." In addition to the ongoing recreation games, mock shops, handmade corners, and children's culture classroom exhibitions, ocarina concerts, fire music bands, port angels, and Hongo Junior High School brass band performances were performed.
  • March 1994: The venue was moved to Hongo Junior High School.
  • March 1998: The venue was returned to the Sakae Ward government office and held a public hall and sports center. From this time, junior high school students began to participate in the planning stage in earnest.
  • March 2002: The venue was moved to Hongodai Station to hold the theme of support for World Cup soccer. (After that, the venue will be in front of Hongodai Station.)
  • March 2004: A junior high school student participated for the first time as an officer. In addition, we began recruiting PR posters to junior high school students.
  • March 2005: Yamate Gakuin Junior High School participated in the stage for the first time.
  • March 2006: From this time, a large number of corporate sponsors such as shopping street in front of the station has been added. A presentation ceremony was held for the Sakaemura Snow Damage donation, Nagano Prefecture, which was sent by residents in response to the snow damage in Sakae Village, Nagano Prefecture, which was sent by residents in response to the snow damage in Sakae Village, Nagano Prefecture.
  • March 2007: Hongo Special Needs School mock shop participated for the first time. As a special guest, junior high school students from Michishi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture also participated in the stage.
  • March 2009: Held under the theme of "Tomo Port" as a project commemorating the 150th anniversary of the opening of Yokohama. "Tanemaru" also rushed to the support.
  • March 2010: The female duo "Bloom" and the robot dancer TaQno appeared as special guests of the 20th anniversary.
  • March 2011: Due to the effects of the Great East Japan Earthquake, Jan Festival was canceled for the first time. Instead, we raised funds for the Great East Japan Earthquake and the damage caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake and Sakaemura, Nagano Prefecture.
  • March 2012: This time, people from Sakaemura, Nagano Prefecture also participated, and the Sakaemura product exhibition was also prosperous.
  • March 2013: On the same day as Jan Festival, the "Sakae Ward Junior High School vs. School Ekiden Tournament" was held for the first time.
  • March 2014: "Sakaekko Gymnastics" was performed to commemorate Sakae Ward's safe community certification.
  • March 2015: Shodo Junior High School served as a big bird as the last performance before the integration.
  • March 2016: To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the constituency, the theme was "thank you, connection, and dreams".
  • March 2017: Held as the first day of the closing event for the 30th anniversary of the constituency system.
  • March 2018: By relocating the exhibition booth at the park venue to the plaza, the sense of unity increased, and the excitement was more than usual.
  • March 2019: The theme was "Dream 2019".
  • 2020–2022: Canceled due to coronavirus infection
