Status of initiatives under the Nikomachi Plan

Inhabitants of a ward, group, administration work together and practice (act) "what we can do together" and aim at town development to support each other.　Therefore, about promotion, evaluation of plan, we show ability to be good at while inhabitant of a ward, group, administration plays each role for achievement of aim and complement each other.

We establish "Nishi Ward community-based welfare health plan promotion, evaluation committee" consisting of representatives of affiliates of welfare and health in ward to examine promotion, evaluation of the whole plan.
The 2nd Nishi Ward Community Welfare and Health Plan Development Committee will be established under this committee.

In Nishi Ward, we have formulated the Nishi Ward Community Welfare and Health Plan as a system in which all residents of the community can support each other in the community and take the initiative.
The second phase plan is based on the first phase plan, and in response to the evaluation of the first phase and changes in social conditions, the Nishi Ward Community Welfare and Health Plan can be promoted in more familiar areas. The region, the Japan National Council of Social Welfare, and the government (ward office) will work together to formulate a district-specific plan that stipulates that efforts should be made according to the situation of each district. We promote in five years from 2010 to 2014 under the cooperation of the three parties. In addition, we will work together with the Nishi Ward Shakyo Welfare Plan, which had previously shared the basic philosophy and basic goals, as one.

The Nishi Ward Community Welfare and Health Plan has a five-year period from FY2007 to FY21. This year, on the last year, we grasped the approach situation of inhabitants of a ward and carried out questionnaire from May to June for future plan promotion. 1,121 people responded with the same content as at the time of the plan formulation. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

In order to have as many people as possible work, we have created a booklet that introduces some of our individual initiatives. We distribute at promotion event of plan and ward office window.

Some issues cannot be solved by one section or group alone. About them, we set up subcommittees according to goals, and inhabitants of a ward, group, administration cooperate and promote.

I've heard this song at the Nishi Ward People's Festival and at the Chairman of the Neighborhood Association of Neighborhood Association Nishi Ward. If you want to listen or want to sing at an event, please contact the person in charge as CDs and tapes are available.
