Information on Elections

According to the Public Office Election Law, the Election Administration Commission shall publish at least once a year, publish the name of the applicant, the target of browsing, and the outline of the purpose of use, etc., regarding the status of browsing the electoral list abstract. (However, this excludes browsing performed by the elector or the person who lives with the elector to confirm whether or not the electoral list is registered.)

Reading of electoral list can be viewed in the following cases.

• When confirming whether a specific person is a person registered in the electoral list
• When a political party or other political organization, such as a candidate for public office, conducts political activities and campaigns
• Statistical surveys, public opinion polls, academic research, and other research studies that are deemed to have high public interest, and that are related to politics or elections

In addition, it is not possible to view the following cases.

• When there is a risk that the browsing items may be used for unjust purposes
• When there is a risk that the browsing items cannot be properly managed
• When there is a good reason to refuse browsing
