Minami Ward Youth Instructor Council

　Youth instructors are volunteers who work to promote healthy youth development. For short, it is called "blue finger".
　In Yokohama, Minami Ward, and each district, we are engaged in activities such as recreation and festivals, events in which young people and local people interact with each other, and to watch over the youth.
　Minami Ward Number of youth instructors: 166 (as of April 2023)

This committee is commissioned by The Mayor of Yokohama and the governor of Kanagawa Prefecture based on recommendations from Neighborhood Associations Neighborhood Association.
The term of office is two years, and currently has 28 terms (April 4 to March 1960), with a commission of 29 terms from April 2024.

[Content] Through the experience of group life in nature and interaction with children of different ages and local youth instructors, we aim to foster healthy youth development.
[Time] July to August (2 days 1 night)
[Target] Youth living and studying in the city (3rd grade to junior high school students)

[Content] We set themes such as local activities and my dreams, recruit essays about what young people think and feel on a daily basis, commend selected compositions, presentations of representatives, and issue a collection of essays.
[Time] Call for essays (August), selection (September and October), award readings and essay collection (early December, public hall)
[Target] Youth living and studying in the city (3rd grade to 20 years old)

[Content] We will exchange opinions on the activity plan of youth instructor with elementary school elementary school studenｔ support teacher in charge of junior high school student guidance teacher, cooperation for summer vacation, etc. [Time] mid-June

[Content] We patrol convenience stores, parks, game centers, schools, etc. in the city at the same time with school teachers, etc., and grasp the actual situation of each region (a hangouts, places that are easy to hang out, etc.).

[Content] Investigate the sales status of harmful books such as convenience stores and bookstores in the city and the situation grasp of karaoke boxes in each region.

This is a public relations magazine that summarizes daily activities. Issued twice a year (September and March).
