This is a nursing profession that works as a "medical rescue squad" based on disaster preparedness plan, Yokohama City, together with pre-registered doctors, dentists, pharmacists, and city officials in the event of a disaster such as a major earthquake. The activities include emergency medical treatment mainly for those with mild illness at clinics on Minami Ward Holidays and evacuation shelter (designated elementary and junior high schools).
