About evacuation shelter (evacuation shelter)

What is evacuation shelter (evacuation shelter)?
- 25 elementary and junior high schools in Minami Ward have been designated for a certain period of time when it becomes difficult to live at home, such as when a large-scale earthquake occurs and your home is damaged or collapsed.
- Disaster prevention storage is provided, and disaster prevention equipment such as generators and floodlights, food and daily necessities such as bread and water cans are stored.
- The operation of each evacuation shelter (evacuation shelter) is carried out by the evacuation shelter Steering Committee, which consists of local residents, government and schools.
- The evacuation shelter Steering Committee is responsible for the smooth operation of the evacuation shelter in the event of a disaster. In normal times, we conduct training on opening evacuation centers and handling equipment in evacuation shelter.
- When evacuation sites is established, information necessary for evacuation will be gathered as a local information base.

To reduce the risk of infection ...
・If you can secure your safety at home in the event of a disaster, try to evacuate at home to prevent the infection of the new coronavirus. Prepare stockpiles such as food and toilet packs in preparation for evacuation at home.
・Consider evacuation to your best friends and friends' homes as well as evacuation sites evacuation centers established by the government.
・Please include masks, thermometers, etc. in emergency exhibits you bring when you evacuate to an evacuation center in evacuation sites.
