At the time of 2003, various crimes were on the rise in Minami Ward, and it was urgently necessary for residents, companies, schools and related organizations to work together to actively engage in crime. In a public opinion survey conducted in 2004, the anti-crime program measures were ranked first for the first time in a decadeanti-crime program.
To cope with this situation, the anti-crime program Promotion Liaison Committee in Minami WardNeighborhood Association and Neighborhood Associationsanti-crime program, was established on July 29, 2004 under the slogan "Let's protect our own towns!" In 2017, it was reborn as the "Minami Ward Safety and Security Community Development Promotion Liaison Committee" to deepen further cooperation among police and fire departments.
