We have formulated a basic barrier-free concept
In Yokohama City, based on the "Yokohama City Welfare Town Development Ordinance", citizens and businesses and Yokohama City collaborate to further promote community-based welfare activities and promote environmental equipment of software and hardware. We are promoting various initiatives.
In addition, around the base stations in each ward, we promote integrated barrier-free maintenance around the station based on the "Law Concerning the Promotion of Smooth Movement of Elderly and Disabled Persons (Barrier-Free Law)".
Midori Ward has developed a basic barrier-free concept for the area around Tokaichiba Station, where facilities such as passenger facilities, cultural facilities, welfare facilities, commercial facilities, financial institutions and other facilities are concentrated.

We set up the "Tokaichiba Station Area Subcommittee" consisting of academics, citizens such as the elderly and the disabled, related businesses and administrative organizations, and proceeded with the examination of the basic concept.

We coordinated with the company about countermeasures for issues in the district, and proposed a basic design draft based on the results.
