About the river of Midori Ward
Rivers in Midori Ward are tributaries of the Tsurumi River system.

Familiar inundation countermeasures
The city has become urbanized and convenient due to the asphalt of roads, but the area where rainwater permeates has decreased, and when heavy rain falls, rainwater can easily gather in rivers in a short time. For this reason, various measures are being taken to prevent flooding.
Reservoir
Temporarily accumulates rain and improve the safety of downstream flood control.
Some of them are used for grounds and tennis courts.
Rainwater infiltrate
In each house, rainwater basin is installed to drain the rain that has fallen on the premises to the sewer main. "Rainwater penetration masu" has holes at the bottom and side of the masu, surrounded by crushed stones, making it easier for rainwater to penetrate underground.
When we install "rainwater penetration masu", there is system that Yokohama-shi assists construction costs. However, it cannot be installed in an unsuitable area.
