About "Children's Town Development Event" and "SDGs"

The “Children's Town Development Event” is a “Child-only town for children” that started as a Midori Ward version of “Mini Munich” held in Munich, Germany.

`` Children's Town '' is a town centered on children. In addition to ward offices, schools, banks, etc., and various shops appear, and if you find a job at a job center and get a salary, you can shop with your own currency. And you can experience the circulation of the economy.

The Children's Executive Committee is a central member who thinks about the structure of the town, and plays an active role as the store manager on the day of the child's town development event.

Starting with a project to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the constituency system in fiscal 2019, in accordance with the basic goal of the Midori Ward Management Policy, the Midori Ward has implemented a “Children's Town Development Event” to foster young people who will lead the next generation.

From fiscal 2023 onward, while valuing our efforts to date, we will incorporate the SDGs perspective and the perspective of realizing a decarbonized society, connecting the products and services of children's town stores to SDGs numbers, promote SDGs and environmental learning together with children who will lead the next generation, and promote SDGs and decarbonization initiatives throughout the Midori Ward.
