Midori Ward Regional Issues Challenge Proposal Project

The Midori Ward Regional Issues Challenge Proposal Project provides support for projects that are independently conducted by civil society organizations to solve various issues facing the community. About proposal business adopted after examination selection, we assist a part of expense. It started in fiscal 2005 and 306 were adopted by fiscal 2024. Volunteer groups, civil society groups, non-profit organizations, Neighborhood Association and other organizations are engaged in a wide range of themes, including child care, community development, environment, culture, sports and welfare.

Projects adopted in FY2024

14 projects have been adopted, and a new challenge proposal project will start activities.

Examples of activities in FY2023

FY2021 Activity Status Questionnaire

We conducted a questionnaire survey of 44 civil society organizations (excluding Neighborhood Association, Park Protection Association, and Japan National Council of Social Welfare) adopted between 2005 and 2020. (22 collection organizations, collection rate: 50%)
As a result, 15 organizations (68.2%) continue the adopted activities, 6 organizations (27.3%) are developing new activities, and 7 organizations are suspending activities (*) (31.8%). (*5 of them were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic)
It was found that many of the selected projects continued or expanded their activities and took root in the community.

Story Santa (outside site) A story-telling circle that works mainly around Nagatsuta and Tokaichiba
Kamoi Station area town development study group (outside site) Kamoi Station cleaning, history walk, park protection activities, etc.

Course Overview

Decarbonization Promotion Course

This is an activity that contributes to decarbonization and covers a single-year business.
[Subsidy Amount] Up to 100,000 yen (however, within 2/3 of the subsidized expenses)
[Example of Activities] Energy-saving initiatives, promotion of greening, local production for local consumption, reduction of garbage, environmental learning, recycling, etc.
[Eligibility]

  • Organized by two or more members
  • Activities that contribute to decarbonization (efforts to reduce CO2)
  • Being an organization that performs its main activities in Midori Ward

Challenge Course

Although it is a business for a single year, you can apply continuously for up to three years.
[Subsidy Amount] Up to 100,000 yen (however, within 1/2 of the subsidized expenses. In the second year, the maximum is 70,000 yen and the third year is up to 50,000 yen. )
[Eligibility]

  • Organizing with at least 5 members
  • There must be rules (rules, rules of association, etc.) regarding the operation of the organization
  • Being an organization that performs its main activities in Midori Ward
