Marsk AS ※The green methanol fuel container ship "Astrid Maersk" entered Yokohama Port for the first time, and a naming ceremony was held. The naming ceremony for an ultra-large green methanol containership with approximately 16,000 stacks will be the second in the world following Korea held on January 26, and the first in Japan.
I presented a commemorative shield for naming to the captain and gave a congratulatory greeting.
Going forward, Yokohama Port will be Japan's first green methanol supply base, and will accelerate efforts to form carbon-neutral ports and contribute to decarbonization in Japan and the world.
※AS means a company in Danish language.
