We visited the Shanghai Library East Building, a public library in Shanghai, which opened in September 2022.
This library is a smart library that utilizes DX, and is equipped with the latest facilities such as managing rental books using mobile apps, unmanned lending and return counter, guidance to books with built-in mobile chips, and guidance using robots.
In March of this year, Yokohama City formulated the "Yokohama City Library Vision," which shows the future vision of the library and the direction of initiatives. We will use the knowledge obtained through this inspection to create a better library in Yokohama.
