We visited the Yokohama Asahi Jazz Festival 2022, a summer outdoor music event representing Asahi Ward. Since its 30th anniversary in 2019, it has been held for the first time in three years due to the impact of COVID-19.
The day was blessed with the weather, amateur bands and professional musicians who won the audition performed powerful performances, and fans of all ages listened to the sound of jazz.
I am very proud that this event, which can be enjoyed casually while sticking to the sound of real jazz, is being held by citizen volunteers from planning to operation.
