When keeping a dog or cat

Registration of a dog (when you start keeping a dog)
The owner of the dog must register the dog.
Please pay 3,000 yen at your local ward office Health Sanitation Division and register.
You can get a metal plate as proof of registration.
Be sure to attach the plate to the dog's collar.
(Note: Procedures may be possible at a veterinary clinic.)
Also, if you give up your registered dog or die, contact the ward office Health Sanitation Division.
Implementation and registration of rabies vaccination (every year)
Let your dog receive rabies vaccination once a year.
rabies vaccination should go to the veterinary clinic and receive a certificate of injection.
Take the injection certificate to your local ward office Health Sanitation Division and pay 550 yen.
You can get a metal plate as proof of the injection.
Be sure to attach the plate to the dog's collar.

If your dog or cat goes missing, please contact the following contact information.

When cremating
Eligible users
Pet cremation is available only to Yokohama citizens (those living outside the city are not available).
saijo (Totsuka Saijo) where pet cremation is possible
Pet cremation is done only in Totsuka Saijo out of four municipal saijo.

Closed days
January 1, January 2, and Friendship Day (Tomobiki Day is a closed day for equipment inspection, but some are open.)

Type of pet cremation
There are two types of pet cremation in Totsuka Saijo: individual cremation and joint cremation.
- Individual cremation: It is a method of cremating one by one in an individual cremation furnace.
- Joint cremation: It's a way to cremate with other pets.
In the case of joint cremation, on-site collection is carried out. (It costs 6500 yen. I can't return my bones.
If you would like to collect business trips, please contact the Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau office in your ward.
When a dead animal is found on the street
If you find dead animals on the street, please contact your Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau office in your ward. I'll ask you to collect it for free.
If you do not understand Japanese, please contact someone who can speak Japanese.
