When keeping a dog or cat

Registration of a dog (when you start keeping a dog)
The dog owner must register the dog.
Please pay 3000 yen at your local ward office Health Sanitation Division and register.
You can get a metal plate as a registered proof.
Be sure to attach the plate to your dog's collar.
(Note: You may be able to apply at a veterinary clinic.)
In addition, please contact ward office Health Sanitation Division when you give your registered dog or die.
Implementation and registration of rabies vaccination (every year)
Let your dog receive rabies vaccination once a year.
rabies vaccination should be done at a veterinary clinic and receive an injection certificate.
Please bring your injection certificate to your local ward office Health Sanitation Division and pay 550 yen.
You can get a metal plate as proof of injection.
Be sure to attach the plate to your dog's collar.

When a domestic dog or cat is missing
If your dog or cat is missing, please contact the following contact information.

When cremation
Eligible users
Pet cremation is available only to Yokohama citizens (those who live outside the city are not available).
saijo (Totsuka Saijo) where pet cremation is possible
Pet cremation is performed only in Totsuka Saijo out of the 4 municipal saijo.

Type of pet cremation
There are two types of pet cremation in Totsuka Saijo: individual cremation and joint cremation.
- Individual cremation: It is a method of cremated by putting it in an individual cremation furnace.
- Joint cremation: It is a way to cremate with other pets.
In the case of joint cremation, we collect business trips. (The cost is 6,500 yen.) I can't return my bones.
If you would like to collect a business trip, please contact the Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau office in your ward.
When you find an animal corpse on the street
If you find dead animals on the street, please contact the Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau office in your ward. I will ask you to collect it for free.
If you do not understand Japanese, please contact a person who can speak Japanese.
